HOW TO MAKE YOUR HAIR GROW FASTER
Surely you have wondered how to make your hair grow faster at some point in your life. Flowing locks of hair are the dream of almost every woman. While some are born with a super-fast hair regeneration rate- the rest must consider all the steps possible and carefully ensure that the hair grows healthy and beautiful. According to leading hair care experts- most persons fail to achieve the optimum hair growth rate as they do not the proper knowledge needed for hair care. Here are a few tips you can follow for your hair to grow to the length you always wanted while keeping its strength, shine, and volume.
1) Skipping the Daily Shampoo:
Shampoo is good for the hair- cleansing off all the dirt and grease of the hair along with the scalp. It is also necessary for dandruff removal and leaves off with an after-feel of freshness. However, the shampoo also cleanses off the nutrients and vitamins necessary for the hair to grow- leaving the hair dry, brittle and prone to split ends, etc. Daily shampoo deprives the hair of all the necessary nutrients required for the hair’s strength as well as its growth.
2) Brush your hair before going to sleep at night:
The natural oils throughout the hair and the scalp needs to be distributed all over the head so that the nutrients get evenly spread for all hair strands. They are beneficial for rapid hair generation from the follicles. Brushing the hair at night with a boar bristle brush is great as it improves the blood circulation and allows the hair to stay naturally moisturized.
3) Maintaining a healthy diet:
According to several dermatologists, the secret to good hair growth is hugely dependent upon the food consumed. Several food items are healthy for the hair and promote hair growth. Dietitians suggest food items rich in proteins such as fish, nuts, cereals and whole grains as good options for the protein requirements. Food items rich in Omega-3 fatty acid, minerals(zinc and iron), biotin, folic acid along with Vitamins A, C, and E help promote healthy hair.
4) Avoid Over-Styling:
Using heating tools such as iron, tongs perms, etc. reduce the quality of hair. It is better to avoid them altogether. In cases where the usage of heating style equipment is necessary- it is always advised to use a heat-protective primer before application. This saves the hair from damage.
5) Massage the Scalp Daily:
Massaging the scalp daily is known to increase hair strength. The gentle massage increases blood circulation from the scalp to the roots- which in turn strengthens the hair. Excessive force/pulling the hair is to be avoided. While coconut oil is universal for all hair types, multiple essential oils can be used- in combination with some carrier oil.
6) Trim your Hair Regularly:
Contrary to popular belief- cutting your hair after regular intervals of time is helpful. It may not help the hair grow faster, but trimming your hair removes split ends which can eventually leave your hair weak and vulnerable. Regular trimming removes the split ends and leads to a fuller, shinier, smoother and stronger hair.
7) Avoid Coloring and/or using harsh hair products:
Hair colour can be damaging to the hair, especially if you are going from a darker shade to a lighter shade. If you were looking to die your hair to platinum blonde- it might be a good time to reconsider other options. The bleach damages the hair cuticles and leads to hair breakage or split ends. It is also wise to prevent extreme hold sprays/gels as they can cause damage- both in the short-term and the long-term. It is advised to wash off your hair as soon as possible.
